Escaping Achuwitz
Yisrael Gutman was born in Warsaw Poland, 1923. He participated in the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, which was a Jewish act of revolt against the Germans. However, he was injured in the attack that the Germans made on the Jews and was moved to Aushwitz, the worst known death camp. After spending two years in the camp he was able to escape and join the Jewish Brigade in Italy. From there he immigrated to Palestine and lived in peace.
